How To Make Your Garden More Low-Maintenance
As lovely as it is to have a garden at home, some gardens can be time-consuming to keep on top of and require you to be really dedicated to them. Not everyone enjoys gardening either and wishes it was low-maintenance!
If you’re a garden owner and the demands of garden maintenance are becoming too much, but you still want your outdoor space to look smart and set a positive impression, take up Lakeland Verandahs’ advice on making it low-maintenance.
Don’t have too many plant varieties
It makes sense that the fewer plant varieties you have in your flower beds, the less of them you need to focus on and understand how to cultivate them.
Keep them down to less than five varieties, and what will also help if you select plants that need very little looking after.
Gardeners’ World Magazine has recommended plants like Bergenias, Hardy Geraniums and Wildflowers for easy-care outdoor growing.
Install our UPVC decking
You don’t need to vastly reduce your lawn size to have a Lakeland deck fitted, and it’s worth retaining some grassy space for the environmental and wildlife benefits it brings, not to mention the value it will also add to your house.
We will customise our decking so that it fits in with and suits your garden layout, and once it’s down, you will have a smaller area of lawn to mow, which will give you a bit more time to do other things.
Decking maintenance is easy when you buy from us as our UPVC system is maintenance-free and doesn’t wear, rot or lose its colour.
Introduce some outdoor seating
It’s so nice to be able to sit out in the garden basking in the sunshine, and doing it after some gardening makes it all the more satisfying.
Identify a section of your garden where it would be good to install a garden sofa or corner set, and select furniture that will work well as an extension of your garden’s existing colour scheme.
You can get large coverings for outdoor furniture to protect them from the elements if you’re worried about it being damaged by rain or being tiresome to clean.
We’re keeping the cost of our UPVC decking locked at the moment, if you’d like it to be a part of your garden setup, but only until 31st October. So, it’s best to order it now and get a quote.
